That hand throttle should be very handy for the next couple of days. Have you put a stick from the rear bulk head to the dash yet to rest your left arm on? .W.

    W.

Not sure he has one, as they were an optional extra on the 107 & 109" Pick ups. A brick balanced gently on the throttle should be OK though.

I was thinking that Eucla for lunch and Norseman for end of day was a big target. I wouldn't have said that driving the My12 D90 let alone a S1!
At this rate you should have time to stop in here on your way home on Saturday???

    Almost home

Breakfast at Noresman and a hot shower I'm now I'm Southern Cross only 389 K's to my place I will be home tonight hopefully all going well. The 109 is running great . The brakes got a good work out near Coolgardie when a mob of emus ran in front of me . It's a good thing she pulls a bit to the left on cold brakes as this made me miss the stupid birds . Looking forward to sleeping in my own bed.

    Mission completed

Home at last and the wife had moved all the new cars out of the garage so Borumbah can have a night under cover. What a day the last 100 k into Perth was very hectic getting pushed along by trucks and with so few passing lanes. Then down the scarp all good until I took off from lights on the bypass and developed a mid range miss. When I persisted and held the throttle down she suddenly surged forward and cleared itself but did it a few more times. I suppose the next thing is to pull the motor out and start on the rebuild. Although a bit noisy the gear box, transfer case and diffs didn't use any oil at all on the way home. The Swivel hubs are packed with grease and I was surprised how well it steered no wandering at all. This morning I woke up at 4.30 am and it was raining not a nice way to start the day getting dressed in the rain but at least it gave me an early start. I will down load all my video's and pics over the weekend and try and edit them into one continuous and post a link to Youtube . My ears are still ringing !!!
