    FUELTANK AND SPRINGS

The vehicle i am looking at needs a new fuel tank and the springs are very sad indeed especially the front.
Can anyone shed some light on the availability of new or old fuel tank and the repair or replacement of springs. ( and i am shaking ) a rough price maybe
The vehicle is S! 55 model ute.
    Thanking you in advance.

I may have a fuel tank that has been repaired and would need looking at again even though it did hold fuel.
I dont know about the springs sorry. I would imagine they would not be too hard to get though

4 Wheel Drives in Melbourne can get replacement tanks made.
You have to supply the filler neck from your tank. Cost is about $450.

I'd try pulling the springs apart and cleaning up 'n' grease up if there not flat as a floor board...

The series 2 and 3 front springs will fit, but they need modifying to make them the right spring-rate. The ones on my S1 80" were modified by Westralia Spring Works. I suspect that if they are not altered there will be trouble fitting the front prop-shaft, etc.

    Interesting name you have there
Fuel tanks come up on ebay occasionally. I have a couple of spares, but as the Gunbuggy (mmmmmmm) also uses S1 tanks, they are too useful to sell.

I apologise for the thread hi jack....My Landy is a 57, do you think that would make a difference if using S 2/3 springs
