I had a set of power locks as listed on the linked page.

I have seen MAP's on a friends S2 years back. The actuating nut in the centre is the same size as the S2 wheel nuts (the ones with the taper at both ends) so no need for extra tooling.

If anyone has any info would love to hear from you. Mike
PS have put tis o the Series 1 club UK as well.
    Hi Mike,

Is the main body of these FWHubs brass or bronze? I have a pair that have bronze-looking bodies and pressed steel end caps (from memory - they are in storage so can't get at them at the moment), made by MAP.

Unfortunately most of the internals are missing.

Mike found these pics on the SII forum, they are of the auto locking hubs but very similar for the internals, and yours will have the pin that winds down to lock between the rollers.

    Thanks Wardy

That's an odd looking bearing hope I can replace them if they are worn.

Spares may be a challenge, internal springs are quite tiny.

    Same

Had a set on my 107, Problem with them grabbing all on their own.
The thing that looks like a bearing expands to lock up the unit, all the little pin does is stop it from turning so that it expands.
If they grab you get a very nasty nose and shudder as your front axle and tail shaft goes from stoped to 75Km/h instantly.

    expanding bearing thingy

That expanding bearing thingy looks just like a starter clutch on a KTM motorbike. Different size of course but same idea. Does anyone know what these are called may be able to buy an off the shelf size.
