You know you've made it as a Series one Land Rover owner when part of your pre drive check includes making sure the cab is bolted on properly
I took the ol girl for her first spin out of town since I picked her up, 70 k round trip. Went really well even got up to 90 kph . Figured I might as well make a trip out of it and hit up my local MTB trails too

I think its amazing that when you are seriously looking for a series one, you cant find one....when once you have one they seem to pop up all over the shop. Apparently I'm off to look at two more. I left a note in someones mail box the other day but never heard back.
Ha Ha , you've got it real bad! (Landroveritus). Sounds normal to everyone here :D Yes they do tend to find you. How big is your yard?
Yup, a tragic it seems. My yard is big, but filling fast as I pick up a chassis for the salvaged ute on Sunday. My mothers yard is also big, surely she wont notice a rusting hulk or two up the back ( my step father is partly to blame after all ) and my mate has two farms, that contains a collection of mine and his.
Back when I was married this sort of behavior would have been nipped in the bud before it began.........now there's a double edged sword
So I decided that I would replace the exceptionally dodgy fuse box in the engine bay. Yes I should have planned for every event I know, I've abandoned that job for tonight as I have now got to go get me some new wires tomorrow. At least two are like this and run well back into the outer sheathing, this particular lot head into the dash so god only knows what they run. And naturally the stuffed green wire is joined to a black wire and the stuffed black wire to a green one. And then there is a red one connected to a blue one

Ok so I've done the burnt wires and replaced the fuse box.
Now I have a drivers side headlight that barely glows while the passenger side is perfect. I'm assuming if it was blown there would be nothing at all, or one beam or the other would work, any ideas
