    head gasket

    about to get a vrs kit for my 55 2ltr engine

    whats the best head gasket to get?

    the cooper or the composite?
    2007 Discovery 3 SE7 TDV6 2.7
    2012 SZ Territory TX 2.7 TDCi

    Hi
    always used copper
    just remember to pull the head down again after 1000kms,and adjust the valves

    If you use a copper gasket, buy a spray can of hylomar from a trade parts shop It's a pretty blue spray on sealer. It used to be made by Rollsroyce and I don't know of a solvent that removes it when dry.

    Spray it on both sides, let it get sticky, do it three times and let it dry, then fit as normal.
    No more leaky or blowen gaskets.
