Fitted out the back of the Series 1 for the trip East. Cost less than $50 and took 3 hours . I can sleep in the back and fit all my tools and stuff under the false floor. The trailblazer full of cold beers and frozen dinners and I'm ready. Carrying 140 liters of fuel with the 2 Jerry's and long range tanks . Hopefully get across the Nullabor without having to pay $2 a liter. Fitting new swivel hub seals before I go .

Oh dear just got a box full of neutrals . Put her in 4wd to get home . I think it's an axel Bugga. Just on my way to get tyres will pull the axel out when I get home. Now where will I get one of them full floater .
Not sure yet she's up getting new tyres fitted . It broke on the way. Wich one usually goes.?
IME the short axle usually goes first, as the same stresses are concentrated over a shorter distance.
If you can afford it I would see if HTE have any of their upgraded axles in stock that they can express post. Should be under $500/pr.

Most of the aftermarket cheapies are made of cheese, and the 2nd hand ones have had an unknown life.
I think I turfed out all my 10-spliners, but will have a look. LandyAndy on here may have some, and in perth you could try west coast rover.
Get yourself a pair of new 2A halfshafts and fit both of them.
You will need a pair of spacers made up to fit the longer replacements and they can be made by machining out the centre of a old driving flange.
Find a pair of used / worn driving flanges, maybe it's a good time to replace the ones on yours anyway and fit some new ones.
The bolts need to be replaced also with ones that have a shank that is longer by the same thickness of the spacers.
.
Thanks guys
Got onto Hi Tough engineering he has a set of upgraded axels and flanges ready to go not cheap but not made of cheese either. You wouldn't believe I'm heading to the Gold Coast and that's where he's based . 12 kilos by express post won't be cheap either.
