This 58 5 door wagon belongs to a (not too active) member here. I got a first hand look at it today and noticed a side light setup I have not seen before. It does look very "factory" and was wondering if any of our S1 gurus have come across it.

Gypsy does not have them, but I have an idea they were used on either the Tempo or Minerva Landrovers for exactly the same reason. (and may have also been fitted to the Gypsy as well when you wanted to carry jerricans on the front bumper)

SupporterI've looked at pictures of Tempo & Minerva Land Rovers and can't find anything.
The interesting thing is the housing is aluminium and from the patina looks the same age as the vehicle.
Could be from another vehicle/truck/trailer but who else would use aluminium for this type of part ? Aircraft ?

I have no doubt they were made specifically for Landrovers, probably as part of a kit to carry jerricans on the bumper.
