Thread: Wheels ........... Again

I have a number of Series 1 rims, or so I thought.

They all have the serial No 231601 and are all 5" x 16". Most are ROK and are either '55 or '56 year stamped and one with the little disc on the outside which is a '49.

Then and this is the interesting bit, I have two which are ROH (nothing strange here) but they are date stamped '71.

Am I labouring under a misapprehension? As I was under the impression that 231601's were S1 exclusive. I know they will fit any Series etc.

Were these 5" rims used on S11 and S11A SWB vehicles?

A quick forum search has them down for all 88" including Series III.
Just checked the SIII manual and they are listed for the 88"
