    Bundalene's 109

We were lucky enough to get our hands on a 109 which we brought home last week.

This is a complete vehicle with very minor damage. The front left guard was damaged and the exhaust manifold was broken and the exhaust is bent, all caused by a forklift at a clearance sale.

Mechanically the brakes and handbrake are seized and the ignition light doesn't come on, even though there is power to the coil. I haven't managed to start it yet, the spark is very weak.

This vehicle shows 14,000 miles on the speedo and I wouldn't be surprised if they were genuine, look at the rubbers around the pedals!

Nice find. Long time since I've seen the posts of having stray series following you home.
The tub is nice and straight. You may be the first person to load anything into it.

Nice to find one that's unmolested.

What are the plans ? Just get it mechanically sorted and leave the body as is ?

You are right, I haven't been around here for a bit, we spent the best part of 3 months traveling.

Andrew our son spotted this one at Gilgandra in a paddock next to where he was working.

The previous owner bought it from a clearance sale and was only bidding against the scrap metal dealer.

We have been able to trace a bit of history but this is ongoing.

    A few more pics

I would say the seat backs are original, the bases have been recovered but the timber frame appears original

Original keys, one operates the ignition, the other operates the drivers door lock. Both turn freely

Last registered in 1979. I am told it was stored in a farm shed up to the clearance sale. Roof is pretty straight

Photo inside the fuel tank, appears to be straight off the showroom floor.

    Pedal rubbers

I forgot, 2 more things not complete, the choke was removed, but is available and the right rear light was also damaged at the clearance sale.

Hi Simon, we actually came through Orange on our way back with this vehicle in tow, but were a bit time poor to call in, as we wanted to get home before dark.

We have another collectable car and I will put up a post about this later.

Presently we have 3 complete cars which either run or almost run, a 1956, a 1957 and this one which is also a 1957. Then we have 3 x 1951 part vehicles, 1 x 1953 vehicle with a holden motor, a 1958 / 9 Series2 diesel and enough parts minus engine, to build a 1950 (July 1949 build) 80 inch and the odd spare part as well.

No worries at all, some time later. Are you going to the show this weekend.

I didn't realise you had so many Erich! Sheila will have to turn one into a garden feature with a flower bed in the tray!
    Cheers
