    series 1 ID please

Hello ,New to series one and have dived head first and got a couple . I'm just wondering what I have got into??? 3 series 1's one has a plate with 177600412 the other has a plate with 2660093 and the third is missing the plate and I didn't want to get under the 80 but i got an engine number 3611334. Can you identify a series one from it's original motor?

this is CALVIN, the Land Rover Vin Calculator.
It isnt infallible but its good!

    177600412
    1 Type: Land Rover
7 Model: Land Rover Series I
7 Destination: Right-hand drive (RHD), completely knocked down (CKD)
6 Service period: Late 1955 for service
    00412 Serial number

    2660093 (not enough numbers...)
assuming you missed a zero- it becomes..

    26600093
    2 Model year: 1952
6 Model: Land Rover, Series I, 80in, petrol
6 Body type: Completely knocked down (CKD)
0 Destination: Right-hand drive (RHD), home market
    0093 Serial number

the engine number is different again, and often changed in and out of vehicles over the years...

3611334 engine number.. I am just guessing but believe that kind of number puts it into series 3 territory? still 2.25 I think...

the green 80" pictured in 1st photos has the 7" headlamps through the grille design. This commenced in the late 1950 model (at #06111547) and continued until the very last 1951 vehicles.
BUT these are easily swapped from 80" to 80" --
Early s1 had h/l behind grille hanging down from top of radiator support panel.. and sidelights (parkers) in firewall top corners

the dash you pictured is from a @'54 onwards.

people who know much better than I will come along and correct me, but I hope that helps for now ---none of it is reliable (its from my head and the engine number is a guess..)
    (REMLR 235/MVCA 9) 80" -'49.(RUST), -'50 & '52. (53-parts) 88" -57 s1, -'63 -s2a -GS x 2-"Horrie"-112-769, "Vet"-112-429(-Vietnam-PRE 1ATF '65) ('66, s2a-as UN CIVPOL), Hans '73- s3 109" '56 s1 x2 77- s3 van (gone)& '12- 110

Thank you guys , I have a lot to research and learn!! Looking for manuals/ reference books asap and looking to join a club (Sunshine coast Qld ).

Russell I will call (again) when I bring the first one home .

The two outside were saved from a wrecking yard and the previous owner grabbed them and a whole carport full of series 1 parts with some series 2 and 3 as well, like I said lots of studying trying to figure out what is what.

The cream one in the carport is had a rebuilt motor but has a fuel problem ,so I will start on that one first.

These door handles had me puzzled for a couple of hours but I did see other pics with others fitted .

I don't think that engine number belongs to the engine in the picture. 151....... is a Series 2 2286cc number (second picture in your first post).

The first pics the closest to camera is an 80", as for the rest I can't tell, don't know enough.

One of them is home , got a few parts to sort out seemed that the previous owner had a mate with a wrecking yard and when it closed down all series one stuff was saved . Tub full of goodies but all I was hoping for was front fenders as those extra lights are hideous!!
