    Another 2 Series I

Just picked up the first of 2 Series I's out of a remote paddock, chassis and firewall are totally buggered, spring hanger tore off chassis at front while winching onto truck tray.
Has an alloy original roof, 1/2 doors, 3 swing up seat bases, look like small tractor metal seats, holden Grey motor. Guards, doors, rear tub and roof are salvagable, plus all the running gear.
Chassis # is extremely hard to read, it either starts with 86 or 06, if it is 06 according to the LR book it should have the letter "R" in front, anyone help there?
I haven't had a look at the second one yet, Son says it has a tree laying across it, but it has the original motor, both are 80" wheelbase, will post some pics later if anyone interested, Regards Frank.

I nearly cried when my son said that this first one was the good one.
I have never seen so much rust in all my life, the firewall is almost non-existent, even the towball, the neck of the ball is about 1/8" thick, my son bent it over to the side it is so thin.
It has dual fuel tanks, though the fuel caps have been left off and these weird hinged fold up (to the rear) seats (3), the dash gauges are in a pod that sticks out from the dash, some mongrel has given the doors a workout with a 22, dents only no holes.
Will take a bunch of pics tomorrow, Myles my son reckons the other one with the original motor is broken in half, length ways by the tree that fell on it, probably only drive line salvageable.
As we were checking this one out a bloke pulled up and said he knows where there's another one on a mates property, so we gave him a card and we could have another in the pipeline, Regards Frank.
