    Amag fire pump

    Good morning/night?
I own after a long restoration a 1958 series 1 107 Fire engine, it should have a Amag firefighting pump built in big unfortunately mine is totally shot.
I have been told many times by owners in the UK is to go hunting down under!
Therefore I am looking for a Amag pump or spares to repair mine.
    Anyone got any ideas?
I have seen some great pictures of similar vehicles on you side of the world,
Any help or suggestions really appreciated!
    Cheers

    G'day & welcome,
I can agree with part of your statement, to look down under for parts for early Series vehicles, we have a member in here named 'ellard' but he hasn't been in here for over 12 months, he also frequents another site called 'The Registry of Ex Military Land Rovers' Wayne has 3 fire trucks his Series 1 107 was used @ Woomera in Sth Oz, his S2A 109 was an Army fire truck and he has a 'Firefly' that was used during the construction of the Snowy mountains scheme, but I seem to recall that all of his fire trucks have 'Coventry'or ? Climax? pumps' I don't know that much about the L/R fire truck history in Oz but I hahd not heard of the Amag pump, but I'm sure if thhat type was landed here some-one will chime in and let you know.
Another problem this country has when an object has reached it's use by date it's discarded somewhat with no consideration given to it's heritage, anyway don't be discouraged you never know, cheers Dennis
