It's got the wrong grill & radiator panel for a 49
Possible overkill on the music front but apart from that resembles many of the dreams I have had over the years.

The engine is interesting , it has a water jacket side plate , I have never seen one on S1 . The Rover P3 had 2 of these side plates . The first of the S1 motors were from a Rover car & I am not sure weather the car engines had these side plates . I will have to go through my Rover books & see what I can find.
This is a copy of a Rover 60 which was used in the first on the S1's . You can see the water jacket side plate NO 27, they were a pressed tin cover plate which were later replaced with welsh plugs. I wonder how long Rover used these engines in the S1's ? Or has this had a engine trans plant during its life?
Does any one know?
Its a great find, early 80" vehicles had "side plate" motors used from the very first till around mid 1949 when they went to the core plugs for the water jacket

I saw the eBay advert for that, it started at 99p
I did not think it would go very high, but the winning bid was over 3000GBP
Bloody hell, twice what I sold my restored 49 80" to in the late 1980's , to Gary (brill ? ) from ULR for $3000 ( the original wreck only cost me $150 though)
