    Door tops

Starting to refurbish my door tops on my Sep 1957 88 Series one (model year 58) and realised I have two different door tops - where the window goes along the bottom edge one has a channel with a lip on the inside of the door whereas the other does not (see photos) - does any one know which door is correct for my vehicle and when they changed? Not likely to change them but curious to know.

The one with the two drain holes on the outside, under the glass. is the correct one for a 58 model. The picture on the right?

Sorry, I don't know, but I've always associated the drain hole ones with the 88/109 wheelbase.

It might have changed around the time that the door top perspex changed from being both pains in the door top to the fixed one being glass and the sliding one stayed as perspex.
    Possibly not 100% sure though

Cheers - that's my next line of enquiry - I assumed by 1957 that the windows were both glass? And that Perspex was used earlier.

    Hi Westernterra,

The top with the wide panel is the correct one for your year, the narrow section one is from an 86".

I have an 86 under restoration, but also have an 88" 58 for parts.

I can swap you a 88" version for your 86" if you would like so you have a matching pair.

    Cheers..
