    Fanbelts

The fanbelt on my paddock SI has snapped. It is that old, no numbers are left on it, and there is not enough of it to measure for length. I seem to remember that these belts were originally industrial belts, not automotive belts. Does anyone know if this is true? What length and section is needed?

I think I wandered into a bearing supplier with the old one and they matched it, don't have the size to hand.

Just found details in the 'stickies' above Series 1 parts information I'm guessing it's an 'automotive' belt but I know and industrial belt will fit.

They are the standard automotive belt section of the 1940-50s. Your best bet is to either contact one of the suppliers of Series Landrover parts, or find an auto parts supplier that is old enough to still have books going back far enough to cover Series 1. Otherwise, someone here may have gone through the process already and have an answer, or have a belt they can measure.

So 15mm width, Automotive profile and 980mm length. 123rover50's belt is 10mm longer.
