Yeah, was showed this the other day by another member - very overpriced IMO.

Seems rather expensive for what it is.
Not sure the paint job does it any favours as it highlights all the dents & creases.
Non-standard tail lights.

It would be interesting to know what Lorbek paid for it.
Pickles.
My boss knows that I like old Land Rovers - and he has encouraged me to go and have a look at this, and to purchase it... Lol!
I'm certainly no expert on Series I's - but this one seems to be far from original:
* Series II dash board
* Wrong Mirrors
* Sunroof / Window in cabin roof
* Tray floor?
* Is that the correct air filter?
* Wrong tail lights
* Wrong wiper motors
* Charging points - not entirely sure that this is original..
Horrible paint job - certainly doesn't do it any favours.
I would want a concourse, numbers matching, vehicle for that asking price...
I too wonder how much it was bought for AND what kind of margin they are putting on it?
Cheers,
GG.

It looks a heck of a lot like a car someone put up here in maybe "interesting and funny", that had been "restored" appallingly. I'll see if I can find it. But, yeah, it is all wrong, however some mug will pay 30K for it. Personally, I would prefer they hadn't painted it. I reckon the thing Chops got, for example, is way better in it's patina.

It was previously owned by a friend of mine. The show room lighting doesn't do it any favours, it looks a lot better in the 'flesh' & drives very well.
You are right though, the asking price is very different from what the dealer paid for it!![]()
