    Wiring loom replacement

    Hi All,
There seems to be a couple of suppliers for a new loom and I was wondering if anyone has an opinion on one over another?

    Hi,

I used AutoSparks UK for a wiring loom for my '06 Series II SWB. The wiring loom didn't come with any instructions or colour codes, but Google soon sorted that out.

I think that there is an Australian company - vintage wiring harness, which some people have used and said that they are good.

    Cheers,
    GG.

I used Vinwire in Vic for my 86" restoration. The best value $$$ I spent on my restoration.
I had indicator wires included in the loom to make adding these easy as.

I bought mine for my 80" from Vintage Wiring Harness Australis . I had a few extra wires added for the indicators @ a reasonable cost. The harness was very good except for were it went through the bulkhead behind the dash. The wires were too large which made the harness exactly the same size as the hole in the bulkhead so there was no room for a grommet to protect the harness from the sharp metal , I had not added the extra wires to this part of the harness. Also because the 80" instrument housing is so small with the thicker wires there wasn' t enough room & pushed the gauges out of the dash. I had to do some modifications in this area. Your vehicle would have more room than a 80".

I think when I ordered my harness about 2 years ago it was just before Christmas & they were closing over the Christmas New Year period, I wasn't in a hurry so wasn' t a problem.

Have Aussie Vinwire. Pommy wiring for my 80" comes in three or four looms each priced accordingly. Vinwire have one price for the lot. :0) ...................and thinks with pommy pound what it is and no international frieght Vinwire makes good sense.

    Cheers
