Thread: Who offer the best price on Piston assemblies?

It’s almost buy what you can get these days. $800 to $1000 for the set sounds about right. I got lucky with my 2.6 litre 6 cylinder as prices are around the same ($200 per slug) but found a NOS set with rings for $400 eventually. Took me 2 years of searching to find all the parts I needed and even had to get some bits bought in on friends and family’s luggage as some vendors in the UK wouldn’t post international so had them delivered to relatives in England and hand delivered.

Yes $700-800AUD is about right.

Make sure you get the correct gudgeon pin size. Early motors have smaller diameter pins than later spreadbore motors.

Have you tried JP Pistons Adelaide, I bought pistons for my P3 Rover from them a few years ago which they had in stock & they are more rare than S1 pistons.
