That is about right - the US setup for indicators was never legal in Australia - they must have jumped the gun before the standard was settled, and then corrected the situation with the FC, which, interestingly, was introduced almost exactly when the Series 1 Landrover was replaced by Series 2.

That is what I have for my trafficators. You can buy ones that have a light in them that lights up when switch is turned . I did think about using one of them for my indicators but couldn't be bothered reaching over to the centre of the screen to turn on & off.
