I have the short crank handle with mine.
Years ago the father-in-law started the car using the handle into the capstan winch, the engine was warm and he was just proving to himself (and myself) that it was easy.
Maybe I'll try from cold one day.......

I have started Landy with the short crank handle through the Capstan from cold when she has not been out for a while & battery was low in charge , always started easy. About 10 years ago I had about 10 STD crank handles & nobody wanted them so I cut them down to make short ones . I still have one , the others I either sold at swaps or gave to friends . I have one spare left.
