Thread: Series 1 chassis number

Hi new to Landrovers and trying to find history of a 1951? Landrover , I have the chassis number Only. Is this possible ?

Unlikely in most cases. The British Motor Industry Heritage Centre can probably provide the date it was shipped and destination, but that is probably as far as it goes. Most states have some registration records, but few if any go back that far, and all need the registration number as a starting point.

Close examination of the vehicle for faded or overpainted signage, distinctive accessories etc may provide a clue. But that is about it.
