Thread: Airbox replacement/alternative?

G’day, I have a ‘97 LR Disco, v8 3.9L. She’s a dual fuel, petrol/lpg. Had issues with backfiring when I bought it, fixed that but it blew my air box to bits and I’m struggling to find a replacement. Does anyone know where I can either get a replacement or know what air box can fit the MAF? Let me know and thanks in advance

As for your question, however, well may you source another air box and guess what? You'll blow that one up, too. Others may know the secret, but I could never get the one 3.9/LPG I ever worked on to stop backfiring and destroying air boxes. Mind you, we didn't spend any money on it.
