    I'd still give British Auto Parts a try. I've found them good to deal with. Land Rover Parts - MAJOR BRAKE OVERHAUL KITS - SERIES 1,2 & 3

    Thanks Wal - it appears the wheel cylinder LR Part no. changed between the 1956 version and the 1961 revision that I have - The GI numbers are also different.

    I also note that the LR part no for the brake shoes changed although the GI number stayed the same.

    This is a page from the Series II & 2A cat . no 4187 3rd edition Oct. 61 . Have you got the original SI/II backing plates?
