    Hi there

Straight from the book of knowledge.

The vehicle serial number will be found on the transferr box instruction plate on the dash panel over the gearbox cover. It is the same number as the chassis number which is stamped on the right hand front spring shackle braket.

Can you post some pictures as I am keen to have a look if its was/could have been a fire engine.

    All the best

this chassis number is 1955.the chassis number should be on the left rear spring hanger of both vehicles.

    hi there

    The chassis no 5776 - makes it a 1955 107.

Now according to the alot of Land Rover books land rover never made a LWB Fire Engine - some thing I dispute (along with a few others)

I will do some research as I have alot of information on Land Rover Fire Engines in Australia. I need to get some additional pictures of your 107 - some detailed ones of the bonet and the roof and rear tray area. Was there any information of what NSW brigae it used to belong to?

If you have alook at my link below there is some pictures of mine - I own a 109 1958 Land Rover Fire Engine.

I know its a link to a new series one site - where I have a progress rebuild of my truck

the g/box number is 1957 and the vehicle in the photo i would say is ex bush fire brigade as it appears to have the remains of the marking on the door.
