    Series 1 Part Catelogue

    Greetings

If anyone has a copy of the Series 1 Parts Catelogue Part no 4107 that covers Series 1 86,88,107,109 Petrol and Diesel Vehicles I need your help.

My copy has pages 163 through 166 inclusive, missing (covers Air cleaner, Fuel Tank, Radiator information)

Access to this information would be appreciated. It appears the "Mypress"
links are still not working they download but come up with an error message. (this has previously been mentioned in a topic)

    Regards

Which edition of the publication are you referring to?

My copy of 4107 (TP155C) June 1956 does not cover the diesel engine nor the 1958 models and pages 163 through 166 cover the canvas hoods and bows for the 86/88/107/109 models.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Er Oops - that link would be a Series 1 Disco.

They are the 100 inch model not the 86, 88, 107, 109 inch series 1.

    Allon

In my book the radiator and fittings are pages 114 pics, 115 details, and 116 - 119 for the Petrol Tank, Filter and Pipes.

If it will be any help I can scan those for you?

    Parts Catelogue

Hi all thanks for the replies,

NM the link provided leads to a download that finally resolves with the same error message as downloading from the 'Mypress' sticky link namely after a full download of x MB the message "the file is damaged and could not be repaired"appears. i am running Adobe 8 should be pretty up to date. Thank you for the coutesy of providing the link however.

Cucinadio thanks for the link info however as Diana posted it is for a Disco Series 1 however your effort is appreciated.

Lotz-A-Landies -Diana thanks for the gracious offer of assistance, my edition reads
    Edition TP155/E Supercedes 3rd Edition No. TP155/C
    Dated June 1956 2nd revision Oct 61
As stated the missing sections in between Radiator and fittings (diagram) and Petrol and Fuel Tank Filter and Pipes (part numbers from plate ref 27)
Would seem to logically be missing radiator part numbers (all) and exploded diagrams of fuel tank, air cleaner, fuel sediment bowl and whatever else.
Glad of any scanned help you may be able to offer.

Interesting that they jumped from the 3rd edition (C) to the 5th edition (E) without publishing the 4th edition (D).

    PM sent.

The wording after Technical publication TP155/E reads

"This publication supersedes the 3rd edition, Publication number TP155/C which should be destroyed."

The Diesel engine component in Suffix E takes 32 pages maybe the sectional layout was altered? as the two seem to have a 48 page discrepancy at least to your page 114 and my 162?

Thank you again Diana very much appreciated.

    You're welcome Allon - didn't mind a bit.

The comment "which should be destroyed." is one reason that some information about the early cars has been lost. The Rover dealers did exactly what they were meant to do and now 60 years later it is next to impossible to find out what the early books actually said.

    G'day Folks

In many cases the later publications of the Master Parts Catalogue there may have been one or two copies in the country, and it was not unusual for dealers both main and smaller to only get "XYZ" Ronieoed copies of the updates and supersession lists as loose leaves that were attached to the Master Parts books by which ever means, that is why there are MP books particularly the Leyland Era ones that have the punched holes for inserting in "Ring" type binders then the updates and supersussions were just added to the binder

    cheers
