Well an interesting Sunday and got to spend the better part of it on the Streak regardless of the flu, I removed those nasty ends of the front bumper from the chassis rails, pretty much gave the very front of it a damn good sanding, the guard tops are quiet heavily scratched and coated in some sort of primer that is real thick, lifted those grotty old rigid tracks from the back window and pulled the remains of the windows out, Do I replace the rigid tracks and make new perspex windows or just fit a one piece bit of perspex in the hole and forget it?, was looking at the roof line, can the very top part of the roof be separated leaving the rest bolted to the cabin, I need to get the roof of so I can tip it upside down and get in there and beat the roof back straight,
Also removed the remains of the steering wheel and static tube from within the column and pulled the pedals to bits, the bushes are well flogged out.
I put a spanner on the brake pipes on the master but the pip wanted to turn with the nut, bombed with some wd40 keep wiggling them and squirting some wd40 and hopefully they will break free, this is where we are not.
This is the result of about 6 hours work pulling dents and sanding like mad, that old red lead is really thick,

Here is the nose looking all bare, note lack of bumper ends.

Least I have a good steady pace going when I get to it now. The light at the end of the tunnel is still looking dim
My nieghbour was cleaning her yard out and sitting in the trailer was the nice looking steel cage, thought that would look good on the Streak so I harpooned it, upon cleaning out it had muzzles and chains so I would say she had pig dogs in it at one time, it has been under the black berries for years, its in good nick got two seperate boxes with locking doors, good score.
Ok here she is as of today with some primer at last, 101 uses for 20 year old Zinc Phosphate,

Hopefully this week end I can finish priming the outside, I make my own filler using resin and talc, etc for fine filling old boat trick, the roof has to come off, my job for tomorrow night, has a ding I cant shift while its in place, need to lay it on the cement and give it a talking too with a lump hammer,
Shes coming along ok, no great rush but if i dont keep a steady pace, interest gets lost and things get on sold.
