    Thanks Chris,

The resto took 10 months to complete, and I had to rush it in the end, as I had to have it completed before I moved to Sydney.

As I am now residing in Sydney for the next 2 years, before returning to Victoria, I unfortunately won't be able to attend the Vic 4x4 show. (I left he family in Melbourne) But thanks for the offer, I should be able to make it in 2011.

    Regards

    Wal

    Great 80" Wal.

You'll have to come up to the NRMA Motorfest on Australia Day, just up the road from Randwick.

The LROCS will be in Hyde Park South (look for the yellow shelter).

Have to agree with Larry, pop down to the Motorfest on Monday, we could even find you a spot if you want one.

It's a great looking vehicle, I hoped you'd have indicated for me to have a look last weekend when you came up behind me on the M5East, anyway you did give me a nod so that's O.K.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    Hi Diana and Mark,

I was wondering what I was going to do this long weekend, and then I saw Bob's post regarding the MotorFest, and I thought that I might pop down and catch up with you all.

I don't know if my beast would be a worthy addition next the others! I certainly would love to pick peoples brains over a few issues though.

So it was you Diana, who was my welcomming party to Sydney. I saw you come on the M5 and then pull over and then get in front of me, However with my worn steering (nearly fighting to keep her on the road) and trying to decypher the GPS. I couldn't do much more than a quick wave before having to turn off near the airport.

    Regards

    Wal

Wal, Looks like a great trip. Loved the "I can smell road kill!" comment. Also the thing I found in Sydney was they only use indicators if you are in their way
    Great looking Series 1 !

Interested in this Series I Trip....Perth to Alice Springs 2010

I'm off to "bump" that thread now
