Not original, but rubber door stops work just as well.

On another forum some time ago, we discovered that quite a few 80" had never been fitted with door buffers, mine included

Troy, dings in alloy can be easy or they can be real buggers,, around those holes in the guards for example a flat sided steel dolly and a few bonks with a flat face hammer will usually see them go, although you may need to wipe a thin layer of niki over it and sand it up, I am finding big creases in the guards are hard to shift as the guard springs, not sure if you can heat shrink alloy, I am happy to retain a few dents and wipe some niki over a few,,
Where i am having my fun at the moment is sanding the bonnet, all those domed rivets, a sanding sponge is doing the trick. I am going to Clarke Rubber in the morning after I measure the hole if i find something that will fit the bill for the door bumpers I will get you a few Troy. The ones I am thinking of are domed head.
I am thinking that I will give the panel beating a go myself; gently. The dents aren't too bad and should come out well.
If you can grab a couple of rubber bumper things for me it will be very much appreciated.
I'm new to Australia and have a S1 arriving by boat soon. I will start a new thread with regards to the licensing of the S1 over here but just to reply to those owners who are after odd little bits for their S1:
I have a contact in the UK who bought most of the S1 old stock after the company was sold. He supplies original parts catalogues too and he pretty much stocks all manner of new, old stock. Often wrapped in greased paper etc!!!
He doesn't have everything, and some of the stuff he supplies (such as wing mirrors) are replica parts.. but still, a useful contact I'm sure you'll all agree. I shall post his details with, his permission, shortly.
That will be very much welcomed I am sure.
Same here - I posted this and it seems to have disappeared
ha - was posted on another but similar thread http://www.aulro.com/afvb/attachment...lander-004.jpg
