I have my 1956 86" rag top coming to Perth in the next few months from the UK. It has no seatbelts and no indicators (as standard and as allowed in the UK because of it's age). I have to have it examined at an examination centre and I was wondering if I'll have to add indicators and seatbelts?
The vehicle has to meet safety requirements that existed at the time it was constructed - hence no seatbelts or indicators should be required.
HOWEVER - as it is an import (much later than when the vehicle was constructed) the rules might be different.
