I think there are still a few out there, probably haven't been registered for 20 years but they just get petrol, their water and oil topped up and new batteries every now and then. Can't kill them with a stick!

Today I travelled home from Yass on the Lachlan Valley Way. Somewhere between Booroowa and Cowra I spotted a Series 1 still being used as intended - a tractor was circling a paddock, with a combine behind it. Parked at the side of the paddock, and obviously the farmer's transport, was a rather dusty but looking fairly good Series 1 soft top, I think an 88. Didn't think of stopping for a photo until about ten kilometres later! So it seems there are at least a few Series 1s still in everyday agricultural use.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
G'day all,
Well I may have found my series 1 80. Whilst asking about for a replacement heater coil for my 2A, I was informed of a farmer that had a pretty straight series 1 SWB under a peppercorn tree west of Wodonga. It happens to be a 80 with pretty straight panels etc. Trying not to hastle people - I am in the process of finding out if it is really wanted as it appears to be there wasting away.
Early days yet, but I hope the bloke wants to parth it (as much as I hope the missus will understand if it arrives at home)
Good luck Troy

Well the question has been asked and then .... nothingWait and see I spose, it could be that he is thinking about it
but then - maybe he just wants to tell me where to go. Nar - he will let me know either way. I reckon, as per most Landy owners, he needs time to think things over.

When I lived on that same road, but south of Boorowa about 6 or 7 years ago I was investigating the possibility of using my Series III to tow one of those wheel driven sickle bar mowers around my 52 acres.
I think it would have done the job (the mower that is, I know the Series II was up to it), but I sold the block before I could find a good mower.
So at least I had intentions of using it for agricultural purposes.

Reckon that I dont have a hope in hell - this bloke has just dissappeared; must have dug a hole and crawled into itAll I can do is wait. And I was expecting big things too
