It had sunk a bit over the years. It fired up but just smoked the tyres. Had to get the 2 Door out to shift it.

Hate to say it but even though the S1 fired up it had sunk as well. I wasn't going to risk driving it out so pulled it free 1st. Then drove it out:D.

We are having some discussion here now on this things future. Obviously it is not viable to to a full restoration:(. So do we keep it as is. Just tidy it up paint, mech etc. OR  Put Range Rover under pinings in it and keep the body as S1 :o You know I like the Rangies:angel: I think it would be a crime though.:wasntme: For now we will get it sorted as is. Tony
G'day All, Don't worry about it anymore Tony I will come over and pick it up this arvo and give it a full make over (and keep it of course LOL):p cheers mate Dennis:wasntme:
PS Nice looking country there..
We have here a Dodge Master cylinder and a VH 44 inline boaster. Master cylinder has dried out and a bit seized so will see how bad it is before rekit. I suspect slave cylinders will be the same. Also needs a new front flexible hose and rear steel pipe. Have not looked any further yet:eek:;) Tony

So true. With enough $$$$$$$ Any thing is possible. I just cant come to terms with junking it:( As being a one owner 49 with full history. It will be a big one if a full restoration.. I also have a 50 model here (One owner) in a lot better shape and all original but they not as rare so not keen on it compared to the 49 for full restoration. Tony
