Thanks James,
Truth is - it isn't that difficult and there have always been a heap of people on this forum to help me out regardless of what situation I found myself (or got myself) in.. It just took time, space and some cash.
Must be tough to see one go!
But congratulations on a brilliant build! im just about to start my VERY FIRST buildand i can only hope to have one of half the quality you guys on here produce!
Good work, inspiration!
James.

I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see the photos however, Shorty experienced a 'Flash Flood' on New Years Eve in the Molesworth area of Victoria. She was stored inside a 40 foot shipping container when the flood hit and the thing floated near on 200m from its spot in the paddock. Luckily Shorty (and one other Series Landy) were locked away that afternoon as the damage would have been a heap worse. The flash flood hit with a roar and flattened trees, fence lines and the like. The fella who bought Shorty (Dave) heard only the roar then was left to be carried away until he grabbed a fence post outside of the paddock which he was in; one lucky fella to be here still. I do have photos but wont post them until I know that Dave is happy for me to do so.
Dave had got Shorty running and had only just stripped Shorty of brake components and bits in order to have these things repaired prior to dragging Shorty back out to be finished. These items are anywhere now and he is up for new bits...although this may be a good thing. Dave had been camping along a trickle of a creek on his property for a week when this flood hit. A lot of his set-up (genset, tools etc) that were out in the open were also lost with the water.
I dropped in for a visit and a hunt on 27 Dec 09. Nice place with only a trickle in what seemed to be a pretty dry creek. It is hard to imagine what came down that night but nonetheless - he is a lucky bloke to still be here and Shorty is lucky not to be damaged greatly.
Wet feet, new shoes for Shorty
Well I can't work out how to break the photos from a pdf file, so I have put the 5 shots that I have in my photobucket; use the Shorty link below in the Signature block if you want take a look.![]()
Hi Troy,
good to hear your mate is ok! this is an unbelievable story, i'm stunned just looking at those pictures and reading what happened that is very scary. I goto say that Landy has nine live's.
