    New to forum

Hi all, have just joined your forum, come from Longreach Qld.
Have just got a 1955 series 1 86 Land Rover, which I will be doing up during the next 12 months. We used Land Rovers on our property from 1954 to 1978, then went to a 4wd who's name starts with a T (not sure if I should write the full name here).
I will post some photo's of the 86, when it stops raining.

Welcome to the forum - there are lots of people with series 1s on here - my Baby is an 57 88.

Now there is nothing wrong with the T brand - in their own antique sort of way - it is just the owners - when they buy one the important parts of their brains seem to ne removed and their necks turn red.

Welcome - there are a lot of people here with their brains in place and have necks are normal colour.

    Welcome

78 thats the year I came to be, Great to see there are still old series out there that are getting loved all over again. It's an awsome thing that so many of the marque have made it this far.
Love to see the photos as you progress.

Welcome William, or can we call you Will or Bill?

It's a common fact of life that most properties changed over to the one's who's first letter is "T" but who will remain nameless in this realm. For a work vehicle anywhere outside the city they can't be bettered.

You don't see a lot of old T*#~%@'s being restored however.

The 86" were a great Land Rover and we look forward to your pics. Go out and enjoy the rain for the moment, you don't get a lot of that these days.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Welcome - we need more Series owners.

I was working in the Longreach area when I owned a Series 1 in the early sixties.
