thanks mate, it has a Holden 186.
It came from Holden's HK, HT & HG series of vehicles etc. like in the pic below
Is it a common eng swop in Aus then Chris ?, I have a Trax model of a Holden Monaro great detail on it.
yep, was a common conversion back in the day. the other 6 cyl used were 149 & 161 GM engines too. I Love the Monaro's, a big Holden fan i am and Land Rover too! Cool, those Trax models are great and yep the detail is superb!

2 questions -
I have seen seatbelt conversions in a couple of magazine articles - one attached direct to the top of the tub capping behind the seats and one with an inertia reel on the tub, feeding through an arm mounted to bring the strap to shoulder height. What do the rules say?
- what tyres are those? and
- how are you planning to attach seatbelts?
