One comemnt which was said prior - had me :D lots
They were not a good engine in the hot weather, can remember as a kid my parents doing a big trip across the to WA.......brand new HQ with 202. Well cutting to the chase of the story we didnt have it long and me nicked named it the "Kettle"Quote:

these tyres are Dunlop Road Trak Majors. these are 7.50s you can get them in 7.00's & 6.50's too. they dont make them anymore but you can find them at wreckers, trading post or FleaBay!

I'm going to attach the seat belts same as on my Series2a FFR. A 3 point belt one end bolted to rear tub top rail behind seat. other end bolted to the lower part of tub with a 8mm 80x80mm steel plate under the floor. and the conncetor piece with the red button will be mounted on lower left waist side!
probably confused yas all! hahaha! diagram below!

as far as the rules i already know ill have trouble if i was going full rego because of my Holden engine, it would have to have an Engineers Certificate and a Rollcage which the top part of the seat belt to be attached!
im going on Club rego so should be ok. When i restore my 1950 80", its pretty much stock standard and when i get it on full rego, im not planing on having seatbelts or indicators at all!:eek::eek::eek:
if anyone has any suggestions as to seatbelts please comment.

progress for the weekend i managed to bolt up the fenders, parkers and the bonnet and wow it looks great! i had a little problem getting her started today and later found the problem to find the points closed on the cam. cant figure why this happened as the screw holding the points in place was quite tight, so i re-set the gap and she fired up first try no probs!
brakes, seat belts & wiper washers left and thats all folks she's back on the road!

today i got some 1.5mm thick rubber in white and modified a font in ms word print it out and made a few changes in black pen then made more photo copies for the ones id use to cut out.
i cut out the photo copy spray glue the back and stick it on the rubber sheet. i did this so the paper doesnt move while im trying to cut it with a snap knife.
it worked well so tomorrow ill get some 6mm rubber for the mud flaps and stick the letters at the bottom of both sides. I did this way because i couldnt find any on ebay, etc! the font is not exact but best i could do, better than nothing i guess!
feel free to save the Land Lover typo attached pic and use it for what ever you want.

If the adjustment is not loose, there are two ways the points can close.Quote:

im happy with the result, now well see how long these letters stay stuck on there for..........!
