Will take some more pics on the weekend, John. I love these details - all the little springs and split pins and chains - like the tapered tailgate pins on their chains and the leather seat back retainers. Great stuff and mostly all intact and working on Arfa, from what I've seen so far.

Do you know what the original jack was like?

Not for certain, because I am not sure the one I had still had its original jack. But your description fits my memory. But this was pretty much typical of jacks of that period anyway - they were not specific to Landrover.

These pork pies seem to come in a variety of lens shapes. My '56 model has ones with a flat centre reflector, your's seem to be of the pointed type (I have an orange one of these), and I've seen some that have a pointed 'tit ' protruding from the centre.
Not sure which are from which model , though as mine has been in the family since new I know they are original.
