Smith's book implies it later became available for other models, but I have never seen it except in the lwb ute.

    The padding would be Dunlopillo.

Thanks JD, thanks everyone...I thought it looked too well made to be a straight shonky (sorry shonks!) or bodged up job... glad I grabbed it now!

At the moment im thinking of getting it recovered the same time when I get the seats etc for the "oldie" redone... and Im thinking of fitting the basic slidebolt securing mechanisms for the top/sides into the cab so I have both options, the little seat backs and the bench seat back. Only have two seats so seems overkill in the middle!, also gets in the way of the gun rack!!

more importantly, having problems with getting any response to starter button etc at the moment, battery is charged, but nothing happens on starter push....get sparks when I bridge starter bolts so there is power...

will have a "play about" and see what I can manage!...(frustrating though because it was running beaut only 2 weeks ago!) may need to get my multimeter working!

still lots (and lots and lots) to do on it...

still havent come up with a name....

and hoping to get a surge on all my projects after xmas and new year!

Something I'll just point out, note the angle of join between side supports (the ones placed under the canopy,) and second roof skin... this angle obviously makes the shape contour to the body/roof lines...

    Bugger!, the smoke got out!

Just hooked up the jumper leads to give the S1 a start, about to turn it over when I saw that there was smoke!!!

appears wiring leading off from back of starter button has "fritzed", its bare and burnt!

looks like considerable delay now! was all seeming to go ok should have known something was going to happen....)

time to start looking at wiring looms....
was hoping to have it going and there for the BBQ day before Xmas!

Went well - they didnt leave empty handed........but we had a good time.

They didnt go up north with me but were amazed with the boxes and boxes of new oldstock parts (and the brand new tilts).
