TimJ.
BRILLIANT
a bit bright though, now you need to find some mud LOL
but looks like good work by all
Great job - well done!
How do you get front indicators to mount on the curved panel without 'looking up'?
And what did you paint your bumper with - or is it re-galved?
Please send more pics as you go
Cheers
Hey everyone - really appreciate all the support for what we've done with Matilda - these resto's can provoke all kinds of mixed feelings at times. Now to a few questions...
The indicators look factory fitted (although I'm pretty sure they weren't) - the wing ends have been panel beaten so they fit perfectly and look "genuine"- they are even glass!
I used silver frost paint on the bumper. :)
Another piccy from Glen....

It really looks better than these pics show - once I get her out from the bright yellow lights (I mean - the seats are elephant hide grey) in the shed I'll post up some quality pictures....

Looks better than a couple of weeks ago Dan.;)
Well done all.
BTW, the specialist welder hasn't received his pay yet.:o
I'm no expert, but is it possible the front indicators were actually originally just running/park lights and converted to indicators at a later date? Because there definitely weren't any original indicators on the back so I would be surprised if they existed on the front when it was made.
Oops - just saw the photos on the previous page - so the park lights are also there with the indicators. I suspect they are just a very professional later addition.
