Thumbs up lether steering wheel cover fits 17 inch wheels S1

    G'day fellow landroverites,
Today purchased the promised leather steering wheel cover, RM Williams brand, made in jolly old China of course,
from Autobarn in Taree. (the last one).
It is very well made, in fact 10/10, it took me just 60 sec's to fit.
It is a very tight fit and there is a technique to getting it over the last bit of the rim.
I splayed out the back of it and just stretched it hard over, no splitting or anything else, as someone else mentioned several posts ago.
Its quiet thick and will not split even if abused and I know that series one owners with dainty little miffs would never ever do that to such an important part of a land-rover?
    see pics for a look....
price $29.99 excluding grumpy young shop assistant, who really did not want to get of his bum to attend to my urgent needs..

Sorry, whilst it works and looks pretty flash, I much prefer the look of the sew on Pangolin ones.

Doesn't look quite right in a series 1 - I prefer the Pangolin ones and would (have) paid the extra.

Each to their own I guess. However I hope it works as intended.

Thumbs up ideas for a series one interior makeover? ramblings

Indeed it does Tony, thank you for your support.
At top of the new, improved, updated, super duper cover is a buffalo head with horns logo.
I was just wondering and toying with the idea of getting a buffalo head skull an horns and mounting it on the bonnet?
After that the next makeover could be fox tails to adorn the 2 wing mirrors on the wings....
There is a whisper that white wall tyres or painted walls would be more than original, in fact so unheard of that it might make the 6 o'clock news in northern Mongolia? I have a bit of white paint, but more of a dusky pink colour in the shed. As long as you could not view both side at the same time, maybe I could paint them by hand and no one would ever know of the colours from side to side ?white wall bar treads would be awesome?
When it goes into the shed very soon I thought that a Maroon colour might be different, never seen a maroon Series one, not ever, but, I still have some green left from last time, so..............................
This will take longer than the 60 min make over show in UK, but I do have all day this time.....
