    Canvas soft top fastening

Can anyone post a picture of how the rope which fastens the side of a soft top fastens at the front, just behind the door near the handle?

There's 2 holes in the body just there, and I'm guessing I'm missing a critical bit which holds the rope end just there.

    Thanks in advance,

    Peter

G'day All, You are most likely missing the 2 items on the rhs of this picture, BTW they are handed (R & L) held in place by 2 x 2BA cheesehead screws, the ones on the back of the tub are welded to the galv corner cover, the 2 items on lhs of this pic are staples they hold webbing strap for the tilt, also held in by 2 x 2BA cheesehead screws,,.

    cheers Dennis

Thanks Dennis, they look like the bits I need. Are the fittings for the straps the ones on the galvanised piece above the windscreen?

    Hi Peter,

Did you come to the Expo? I had a number of New Old Stock of the "Footman Loops" (lhs Dinty picture) and the clips - with the correct bolts washers, nuts, etc. PM me.
