Is there any difference between military and non-military engines that you know about ?
The engine is painted red similar to holden red motors , are the original military engines this colour ? Everything else about the engine appears to be original although I am not completely familiar with landy engines . My other 2a is a six and has had a 186 transplanted in . I would like to keep the workshop as close to original as possible .

I think the correct colour for landy engines is "duck egg blue" but I am sure someone will correct me on the official colour name. Army engines are basically the same save for a few external bits. The most obvious (to me) is a double row pulley and fan belts. There are quite a few very knowledgable people on this site that could provide more accurate details on the differences.

Have a browse through the REMLR site. It is a wealth of info

PS what town in NQ ??

		G'day Gerga,
Welcome to the site and congratulations on your purchase!

Red has been noted before by some owners as a colour used on some army engines - possibly rebuilds.

Have a look at the REMLR forum down towards the bottom of the forum list in AULRO and you will find hundreds of interesting posts about workshops, including one about engine colours,

 Cheers Charlie
