    New suspension parts???

I am getting the resto underway and was about to order new shocks from Craddocks. What is the general opinion of these original type shocks, and is there a reasonable good priced local alternative for my 109 tray back?
Also, the springs require new bushes, but the spring look in OK condition. How do you tell if its time to replace the spring too??

Can't comment on shocks. For the springs, check that there are no broken leaves, and not noticeably spread from rust between the leaves. Apart from that, if it sits at about the right height, they do not need replacing. However, in most cases the springs will benefit from disassembling, and cleaning, repainting and lubricating each leaf before reassembly.
