Exmoor direct were under $400, I thought.
Series 3 seats will fit, but the retaining method is a little different. S2 has pins in the backs, whereas s3 has bolts, from memory.
Hi All,
I need some front seats (that I am happy to re-upholster myself).
I have a 61 Series II Ute.
Do seats from a Series III fit in a Series II - or are modifications required?
I know that I can purchase new seats ($600 exmoor on ebay) - but I was hoping to tidy-up some old seats myself.
Thanks (as always) for your help.
Regards,
Grey_Ghost

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
Ahhh, thanks for that Diana.
Seats are interchangeable from Series 2 to early 110 production. Changes were in upholstery materials, styles and colours. From Series 2a an adjustable drivers seat became optional on 109s, and from late Series 3 optional high back seats were available. But you can interchange all of them, and the seats from 90/110/Defender are also a bolt-in replacement.
My 2a is currently fitted with high back seats from a 1981 Series 3, but retaining the adjustable driver's seat. I got several of the cushions reupholstered to match the originals.
