    88" Truck Cab Canopy

I gave a mate a canopy for his ute the other day but we are unsure how to fit it.
The 109 truck cab has a couple of holes for the front hood bows behind the cab. None of the 88,s I have looked at here have these holes.
Does anyone have photos or can tell us how the front hood bows are fixed.

Aha the hood stick that goes behind the truck doesnt use "holes" like the full soft top, there is a small peice of angle iorn welded to the the bottom of the hood stick and that bolts onto the gal capping. and the the hood stick is a bit shorter then the "normal" ones in height.

Its the same way as for the 86"/88" series 1s too.

Same as the middle bow in the 109".

There is usually a gutter around the rear window of the metal cab as well.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

OK thanks for that. We have the galv gutter bit on the cab so just have to sort out the front stick.

Do you mean a set-up like this?:

If so, I reckon it looks really good.
Is it a good, practical option on the shorty?

a 3/4 tilt and truck cab on an 88" is pretty useful that's how mine is set up, i can chuck all my camping gear or piles of other junk in there happily over night without prying eyes taking too much attention ...

it's also just about the warmest configuration in mid winter as the canvas helps to keep the frost off the back of the cab

and finally the truck cab is just about the strongest configuration in the event of a rollover, not that i've tested it

on an 88" there is also an "infill plate" that sits under the back of the cab and fills the space to the bulkhead and under that to the spare wheel mount point there's a little bracket required to help stop the cab clattering about, look through the parts list for these two bits, i consider them essential for a daily driver
