    Rear body removal problem!!

Taking off the rear body to replace the rear crossmember and as usual 1 nut won't come undone. Unfortunately its the one of the two behind the petrol tank that supposed to have the bolt welded in place (its let go) . Without taking out the petrol tank any suggestions?? I obviously can't use my fall back solution (mr grinder) and I don't know if a nut splitter will fit due to the tight space around the nut.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated
    Cheers

Good to hear you got it sorted. I was going to say that none of mine were welded but I guess you've figured that bit out.

Drop the tank out. It seems like a big job, but it's only six bolts, three hose clamps, and a wire. It will save all the swearing and grinding to get the bolts out. And then you'll be glad of it when it comes to bolting it back on. You also only need to drop it about 4-6inches.
