Thread: Turner 2.25

G'day, just wondering if anyone has used a TURNER 2.25l with unleaded-gas heads, if so how does it go.

Turner do good work.

I know people who have imported recon heads from Turner. (never a whole engine though).

The 2.25P is nothing special, plenty of shops in Australia can reuild one, convert it to unleaded and even upgrade the performence, for much less than the cost of shipping turner reco engines from the UK.

Converting to unleaded is simply a matter of fitting hardened exhaust valve seats. Cost me ~$150 extra to have done during a head rebuild, including new exhaust valves.

Importing the rebuild parts and supplying them to the exhaust shop would not be a bad idea though.
