Six, there should be holes there for the other two!
I have a couple here that you can have if you can't get any closer to home.
Cheers, Mick.
Hi All,
Restoring a 1961 Series 2 - Truck Cab.
I recently saw a picture of a Series Land Rover - and in the picture I noticed that there are 6 of the triangular brackets that are on the back "wall" of the cab, that the tops of the seats lean on.
I only have 4 of these brackets? On the wall there are no holes or tell-tale signs that would suggest that I originally had 6 of these brackets. I would think that the brackets are missing from the drivers side.
Please see this picture of my current set-up (sorry about the poor quality picture):
My ute came without any seats so it is hard for me to tell what the set-up should be...
Should there be 6? Or is 4 also normal?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
The Grey Ghost.

Landrover Series 2 & 3 seat back support brackets with rubbers, great condition | eBay
I think this is what you are looking for
Thanks VK3UTE,
I've put a bid in.. Fingers crossed...
That ebay ad was one of the hints that made me think that I was missing some of the brackets. The strange thing is - there are no holes on the rear of the cab - in the place that there should be! Strange...

I know people who have removed them to give more (seating) room.

						Hi fc110,
Well that certainly explains the lack of holes...
Mine is a LWB (sorry I should have mentioned that before).
The next question is - what does an adjustable drivers seat look like? (mine came without any seats...)
I have sourced a complete set of 2nd hand seats - and they all look the same to me.
Regards,
The Grey Ghost!

On a SWB the 2 outer seats are the same, the middle is narrower.
On a LWB the passenger side & middle are the same as the equivalent SWB.
The drivers seat is entirely different, attached is a quick grab from a S3 parts book to give you an idea. In fact the rectangular seat frame I think never changed in non v8 models. The 2 seat slides are different on each side, but remained similar again.
My 109 has both the adjustable seat plus 6 brackets on the tub. This is a hard top though, so maybe it's different, I'm unsure. My spare ute body has 6 as well, but that doesn't appear to have an adjustable seat.
Here's what the seat base looks like in mine (currently disassembled), it looks the same as the fc110's diagram.
And the bracket which normally sits on top.
Cheers,
Martin
Just to point out that the adjustable seat was not fitted to all 109s. I have the remains of three at home, and only one was fitted with an adjustable seat.
