I got some regalvanised and they came up great.
The place I used is in Adelaide and they have a minimum flat price up to a specified weight. From memory I think it was $150 up to 75kg.
So I just sent over every bit of gal Landy trim I had laying around, grilles, bumper bars, tail gate fittings, bonnet spare wheel brackets and body cappings. You can get a lot done at a reasonable price as the bumper bar is really the only thing of any significant weight.
When they were ready rather than have them sent home on a truck I picked them up and wrapped them in old blankets to avoid any rubbing etc in transit. Because glavanising is a very industrial process, had I have opted to have them trucked home, they would been just wired together and thrown on the truck tray.

Most States have a few companies that will do the galvanising for you.

I deal with a galvaniser in Dandenong, they are set up to deal with mainly large pieces of steel fabrication (their other site does the chassis for Jayco). LR parts are a bit time consuming to wire up for dipping in comparison to their day-to-day work.
Pays to have a chat with someone before you turn up with dozens of small parts, also check what preparation you need to do. Light surface rust will be removed by their acid dipping process but heavier rust needs to be blasted first. Too rusty and they either won't dip it or they will blast and send you the bill.

Hi All,

While I am waiting for the paint to dry on the Tub, I decided to continue doing some other small jobs. Mainly cleaning jobs.

About a month ago bacicat came out to my house and removed my engine, clutch, etc - so there are plenty of bits and pieces that need to be cleaned up!

First - Drivers Side Engine Mount:

Question - should I:
(a) Paint the inspection plate satin black?
(b) Paint the inspection plate silver?
(c) Paint the inspection plate with a clear coat
(d) Leave it as it is?

Any advice and thoughts are always welcome!

Don't worry mate, I'll find a spot for all those bolts when it goes back together.:D

I would paint the clutch inspection plate black myself, it will end up that colour eventually...:)

ah yes that is about all they could be for as all the other ones are in the engine bay and would be smaller

They look like the ones off the air cleaner hose, the filler pipe has the top one that is a lot larger, but the bottom clamp is about that size.

ah yes good thinking arthur. on the fuel hose is there hose clamps and/or those ones that you squeeze together with pliers ?
