		Exhaust
		Hi Geodon,

Here are to closer pictures of my exhaust (sorry for the poor quality).
It exits behind the rear drivers wheel. The exhaust tip is pointed downwards and there is no cut-out in the mud flap. Hopefully these pictures help:

As for the hand-brake, I think that Charlie has answered your question? I have taken the following close-ups but I'm not sure if they will help:

		Thank you Ghost!

Now it makes sense. The cut out in my drivers side mud shield must be an aberration.

I will wait till the tray is on, put new mud shields on THEN mount the exhaust. They look like generic thingies that the trailer factories use anyway!

re handbrake mechanism. I'm sure a spring fell off it when I took it off. There is one eyelet to attach one end but I can't work out where t'other end goes.

I will post a photo later

		He Runs!!!
		Hi All,

When I bought Roger I couldn't start or drive him - so it was a bit risky for a beginner like me to purchase an "unknown". According to the owner it had not been started for 3+ years.

Today Bacicat2000 came over and showed me his wisdom! Cleaned the plugs, drained/changed the oil, clean the distributor cap, cleaned the fuel lines, hand cranked the engine (without the plugs in) - and more...

The result - Roger PURRED like a kitten!!! Sounded FANTASTIC!!!

Thanks VERY MUCH to Gavin for all of his help so far..

I am still in the de-construction phase (it's going to be a long road) - for a small break I sanded/cleaned/clear coated the bonnet arm (BEFORE):

		Update
		Hi All,

During the week after work I did some work on Roger..

The front springs & shocks are off.
I also removed 80% of the wiring - which is too far gone to save.

 http://i1155.photobucket.com/albums/...r/IMG_1045.jpg

I was trying to decide if the existing door hinge pins are okay to re-use or not. I would like to (when safe) re-use as many of the original parts as possible. I think that the hinge pins have come-up fine after a few hours of cleaning...

 Before:

After (including 1 spare new one left over from a previous project):

Hi mate - looking good, are you priming all the steel bits as you clean them up? It will save some more work when you come to paint them. A quick spray from a pressure pack with some etch primer would be the go.

 Cheers - Gav

		Phosphate them!
May I suggest some phophoric acid rust inhibitor for your bare metal steel bits??

No need to spray, just slosh it on or even dip the small bits.

Being very acidic, it's quite an OK etch primer.

It lasts till you are ready to prime if the bits are out of the weather.

Just stay away from the POR15 stuff- it's waaaaay too expensive.

		Paint
		Hi All,

Yes - I will be painting all of the bits. Normally I sand/clean/paint on the same day but it was a little cold out my way on the weekend (<10c).

I will hopefully spray the items, with the paint that I normally use (White Knits Rust Guard) sometime this weekend. I will re-clean them before paint!

Stay tuned for more pictures this weekend (hopefully).

 The Grey Ghost
