Your 2a would be a very late model SWB of about 1971 or 72 just before the Series 3 were released going by the chassis number it is a RHD Export model CKD and it could possibly have a "Pressed Metal Corp." metal tag fixed to the inside of the firewall just above where the gear lever is.

Your spot on , it has a Pressed Metal Corp metal tag and the "Body number" is 14235 and underneath that the "serial number" 8814325 . I appreciate your help and info. It's a same that nobody has records of these PMC numbers together with dates so your series LR pre VIN and pre manufactures dated plates could have an accurate "un"CKD date !
